Why subscribe?

Three Teaching Things is a newsletter that highlights three things to improve your higher ed teaching practice, weekly. It’s written by me, Gavan Watson.

Who am I?

While I write this newsletter in my spare time, my “day job” is the director of a Canadian University’s Teaching Centre and that same institution’s Associate Vice-President, Teaching and Learning (but my writing is in no way affiliated with my institution). I’ve come to these roles through my work as an Educational Developer: my career has been focused on working with faculty to increase their effectiveness in (and enjoyment of) the higher ed classroom. I’ve been lucky enough to be invited to speak on topics ranging from Open Badges to Facilitating Student Assessment with Technology across Canada and the United States.
